Mandy Sahota Flood was born in India and grew up in Scotland. Mandy attended nursing school in Scotland, but an arranged marriage didn’t allow her to finish her schooling. Her upbringing and lifestyle were very true to the Indian culture of Ayurveda, she knew no different type of lifestyle, there were no labels that said this was the Ayurvedic way of living - it just was. Mandy immigrated to California and worked in the medical field as a Medical Transcriber. Out of her culture for a few years, Mandy realized she needed to understand the other side of western medicine. This was a journey that took her into natural healing modalities. She studied at the Holistic Life Institute in Oakdale, California and is a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher, and a Certified Iridologist. Mandy continued her passion for learning by enrolling at the California College of Ayurveda in Grass Valley to become a Clinical Ayurveda Specialist and Panchakarma Specialist. Mandy later taught the above course at the Holistic Life Institute in Oakdale for eight years and has also done classes at Merced Community College, Modesto Community College, and more recently at Cuesta College.
“It has been an amazing journey filled with meeting and teaching new people the art of Ayurveda and how to use all these modalities in their own lives to make a difference, not only for themselves, but for those around them”.
