CHI Clinical Internship

An integral part of the training our students receive during the Massage Practitioner program involves giving massage to the public at our school under the supervision of a clinic supervisor.

The clinic is integrated during the program after the student has completed approximately 50% of their training. This allows for the student to progress slowly over several weeks gaining confidence and additional training. It gives the student the opportunity to share their experiences with fellow classmates during the program.

Our student clinic takes place outside normal class hours and is usually scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, and also on Saturdays from 9 am - 2 pm. Sessions are 60 and 90 minutes in length and begin with the student practitioner discussing the Client Intake Information Sheet with their client. After the session, the student completes the final portion of the intake process with the client, and then the student prepares for the second client. After the sessions are completed, the student has an opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions and receive feedback from the clinic supervisor.

Clinic sessions for the public are available by appointment only, and the charge is $35 for 60 minutes or $50 for 90 minutes. The charge to the public covers the cost of running the clinic. The clinic runs three times per year for approximately five weeks, usually in March/April, June/July, and November/December. 

Student candidates for CHI are encouraged to sign up for our clinic which is available at a discount. This will allow candidates to experience our school's training and a full-body massage session prior to attending.

The next clinic will begin on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024.

Mondays - March 4, March 11, March 18, March 25, and April 1.

Tuesdays - Feb. 27, March 5, March 12, March 19, March 26, and April 2.

Wednesdays - Feb. 28, March 6, March 13, March 20, March 27.

Thursdays - Feb. 29, March 7, March 14, March 21, March 28.
Saturdays - March 9, March 16, March 23, and March 30th

Appointment Times: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

 1:30 p.m. for 60-minute massage   -OR-

 3:00 p.m. for 90-minute massage 

(we only offer 90-minute massage appointments at 3:00 pm on Mon., Tues., Wed., & Thurs.)
