 Attending the California Holistic Institute (CHI) was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Not only did I have an amazing instructor, Joanne Mapalo, who was one of the first people in my life that I could literally feel her amazing energy beem off of her and wash over all those around her, she always made us feel safe and welcomed in the learning environment. Furthermore, Joanne always strives to help all her students begin their careers in massage therapy with a deep  understanding and strong foundation of the necessary skills needed to succeed in this profession.  Giving and receiving massage treatments has provided me the ability to create balance and wellness in my life not only  for my clients but also for my family and friends. Additionally,  being a massage therapist has allowed me the freedom to create my own schedule so I can be there for my children, earn a decent living, and pursue my higher education.  Lastly, I am eternally grateful for the education and experience I received at CHI it has put me on a personal journey full of growth, healing, independence, success, and meeting amazing people along the way! Clients are always happy to come and replenished when they leave, as am I. What more could you ask for in a career. 

Attending massage school gave me a skill I can always turn to to make a living that isn't sitting at a desk, and it also gave me flexibility in life to travel and do other things I enjoy in a work day.  I love the connection, I have grown with myself and my intuition. Massage has helped me grow that intuitive connection.   It has opened doors to things like energy work that I might not have been in tune to explore if I hadn't  had a massage practice. 

After years of working with a Physical Therapist, with PT Patients, and as a Personal Trainer, I realized I wanted to explore more through learning Massage. One of the BEST decisions I ever made was to get my 500 hour Certificate with CHI. With this program you are learning many modalities and other aspects of bodywork. The instructors are warm and personable, and very knowledgeable!  Nestled in the beautiful town of SLO - Great facility! I have made lifetime friendships through my experience with CHI- I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting a life changing wealth of knowledge they will never regret!
