Joanne Mapalo CMT, B.A. Sp.Ed., is the director of California Holistic Institute (CHI).  She was state-certified by the BPPVE for instructor of massage therapy and for associate director for a vocational (massage therapy) school in 2000. She has practiced massage therapy for over 30 years. She has been instructing for 24 years and was an Associate Director for a massage school in Southern California from 2000 to 2003. Some of her specialties in massage include Reflexology, Pregnancy & Infant massage, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, and Energy Work. She has a bachelor's degree in special education and dual credentials for education specialist and multiple subject teaching with added authorization to teach English language learners and students on the autism spectrum.  Joanne is excited about the opportunity to teach and share her knowledge with others and is dedicated to supporting students in their education and training goals. She loves to continue learning herself and is currently learning about Trauma Informed Touch and Oncology Massage. 

Tiffany Stephens, MP graduated from California Holistic Institute in 2022. She has used her training to help individuals in Hospice Care during all stages of end-of-life care. To combine her passion for bodywork with her passion for desert off-road racing, she also provides Sports Massage Therapy to the racers and pit crew members of various race teams. She specializes in Sports Massage, Deep Tissue of the Neck & Hip, Cupping Therapy, and Hot Stone Massage. To help give back to the community and school that taught her, Tiffany started working for CHI in early 2023. She enjoys meeting prospective students and helping new students start their journey into massage therapy.  Tiffany is the registrar at C.H.I.
